After The Gold Rush
If you drive down Route 95 across Nevada, you’ll eventually come to Beatty. This sleepy town, known as the gateway to Death Valley, was established as a mining town after the discovery of gold in the late 1900s, and with the arrival of the railroad, Beatty prospered. The railroad long gone and the mines closed, this once thriving town is now just a stop off for tourists on their way to Death Valley and beyond.
